Our History
Founded in 1963 with the establishment of Birgi Sanayi A.Ş., this journey began with glass manufacturing and has grown steadily over the years through expanding know-how, continuous technological investments, and the broadening of areas of expertise. Today, Birgi Mefar operates with an integrated structure encompassing primary glass packaging for sterile pharmaceutical manufacturing, sterile drug manufacturing services, and pharmaceutical distribution services.
Within this structure, Birgi Sanayi specializes in primary glass packaging for sterile medicines, while Mefar İlaç Sanayi operates as a contract manufacturing service provider for sterile injectable products. This integrated setup enables Birgi Mefar to manage the value chain from glass to medicine within a single ecosystem.
Through this approach, Birgi Mefar has continuously strengthened its expertise, manufacturing capabilities, and service portfolio in sterile manufacturing and primary glass packaging, positioning itself as a reliable life sciences and manufacturing partner.
